AFTER ACTION REPORTS

Aug-04: The 78th flew two missions, the first being a tactical bombing run with Ju-88s and Bf-109 escorts. Only a single Spitfire was able to get to the bombers and it was quickly dispatched. The second mission was a CAP along the frontlines, the situation got hot very quickly and two pilots were lost, but the group took down twelve bandits in return.

Aug-01: The 78th flew three missions, escort, jabo and CAP. All three were successful with five bandits shot down and an airfield successfully attacked with no losses.

Jul-14: The 78th flew three missions in defense of a German airfield that was under heavy Allied pressure. Overall the group did well downing nine bandits for the loss of three pilots.

Jul-13: The group flew three bomber intercept missions, in the first two the group took down six B-17s and in the last a single Tempest was downed. Over all some pretty easy missions with the Ta-152 really shining at 30,000+ feet.

Jul-11: The group launched a Bf-110 attack mission on several frontline facilities. The only bandit that was encountered was a P-51 just as the group was landing, and he quickly got shot down by flak.

Jul-10: The 78th flew two missions, the first was fairly quiet with the group losing one pilot while taking down one bandit. The second mission saw the group escort SG2 (Ju-88) on a bombing run. The bombers hit the target but had to make a couple of passes and the flak shot the heck out of them taking them all down. Low on fuel the group headed home but was attacked by a bunch of Mosquitoes. The Mossies paid the price however with seven of them being shot down (along with a Tempest and P-51) for one Dora lost when Hawkeye had to ditch as his engine gave out.

The 78th is on duty, first MA combat tour "Jabo" has begun with the Fw-190F and Bf-109G14

RECRUITING

We are always looking for new members who share our interest in flying organized, realistic missions and the social aspect of online gaming. If you would like to join the squad please register on our forums and say hello.

Our main interest is the AvA room and the more realistic gameplay it offers. All things being equal we fly the Allied aircraft, but if one side is out numbered that's who we'll fly for.

Please note that with an average age of around 40 we are a mature (okay, we're old!) squad and normally folks in their teens will not find our social group appealing.
